In 1995, Lotus Trans Travel took a bold step into the hospitality sector with the launch of Lotus Nikko Hotels—a hotel chain focused on Buddhist pilgrimage destinations.
With prime properties in Bodhgaya, Kushinagar, and Sravasti, these hotels cater to both international and domestic pilgrims exploring India’s sacred Buddhist circuit.
Each hotel is designed with comfort and cultural sensitivity in mind, blending modern amenities with the serenity and spiritual ambiance of these historic sites.
The company owes much of its success to Shri Lajpat Rai, the visionary founder who guided the company for over 40 years. His recent passing in June 2024 marked the end of an era, but his legacy continues to inspire the team.
Known for his humility, entrepreneurial spirit, and devotion to Indian culture, Mr. Rai helped shape Lotus Trans Travel into a brand synonymous with trust and excellence.
